These are some of my favorite verses. Some were sent to me by friends and family during my pregnancies or during our hospital stays. Some are from church sermons or my own reading. But all have a special place in my heart and have helped me bring me out of worry and despair, allowing me to be hopeful but also joyful, even my pain.

- Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
- James 1:12 (Stella’s Life Verse)
- Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- 2 Corinthians 12:9
- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
- Matthew 11:28-30
- “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

- And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. - In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
